Discounted Education Groups Entry Rates are as follows:
Early Childhood Education
Self-guided observations in the grounds.Cost: All under 5's free of charge, all adults (including teachers) $18 each.
NB: These rates only apply during Ministry of Education school term time, not weekends or school holidays. A minimum of 6 working days are required to process each booking. Friends of the Zoo membership entry privileges may not be used in conjunction with this discount.
Year 1 – Year 13 Education
Face-to-face sessions with a Zoo educator are available during school term at 10am, 11am, 12noon and 1pm and last one hour.
Lesson objectives are created in partnership with Zoo educators.
Cost: $6 per child, one free teacher/adult for every 6 children. Additional adults/teachers $18.

Discounted entry for education groups is only available:
• By making contact with the Discovery and Learning Centre at least one week prior to visit
• During Ministry of Education term time
• Monday – Friday
• If payment, accompanied by a completed Gate Entry Sheet, is made on entry (invoicing at discounted rates is not possible)
